I bought 2 Sky Universal LNB's for a decent price but have yet to try them. I know that Sky used the Oval dishes that were fairly smaller than my 90 cm dish. I want to know if anyone has tried these Universal LNB's with a 90 cm dish ? Also what kind of results did anyone get with these type of LNB's with a bigger dish. Any help would be welcomed.

same one?

I got some Sky Mexico Universals last year.
Then Linuxman put some on an 84e Primestar.
They seemed to work out pretty well.
Check the link and look at his pictures.
Do you have the same?
We got 'em from IvyStonePlace (who has been out of stock for quite a while).
He sells DMSI hardware, so I suspect these were a surplus (overstock) lot they were disposing.

If you have something different, give us a link or a picture.
Maybe someone here will recognize it. ;)

yes got them at the same place

I did buy those sky universal lnb's from ivystone a while back and have yet to use them. I wanted to know if anyone has tried them on a 90cm dish which is what I have. I did see the pictures posted where they were used on a Primestar Dish. Just wondering if they will work well with my 90cm dish. Anyone out there tried them on a 90 cm dish?

nothing wrong with 'em

Maybe I should rephrase.
Last year I got a bunch of the surplus Sky Mexico LNBs.
Tried one on a 90cm dish and liked it.
Linuxman was looking for a large quantity to do some projects.
So, I sent him an evaluation sample to try.
He did test that one, and also reported favorably.
Later, he bought a bunch and put them into service on multiple dishes.

As far as I can tell, the LNB matches a round dish just fine.
The size of a dish is not so important, so long as the LNB is located at the focus, and roughly matches the F/D ratio of the dish.
