Yep, they don't make you go up on the roof to retrieve any part of the dish either. That antenna is yours, you would not need to return it.
Huh? I get guide data on my OTA locals...
Many of us get OTA data directly off an antenna and use our Dish receivers to record them.
umm... did Dish change something? They don't use PSIP and there's no option that I know of to select it. Or are you using another PSIP receiver (TV?) to see what's on, then program a manual timer on your Dish DVR?PSIP
Same here, will watch on OTA instead.I only watch one program on the local Fox station...Jeopardy.
Withdrawal won't be all that difficult.
Whew! In our regions covering 3 markets, Peoria, Champaign and Chicago, only ABC in Champaign is on the listhere's a pdf file that shows local channels in danger:
In comparing the PDF posted and Locast's website, I'm not sure "a lot" is really accurate, though I suppose it largely depends on what number one considers to be "a lot" and therefore YMMV.A lot of the markets also have Locast. Just something to think about

I don't - I can use it to get free programming and stuff. Let it last at least a few weeks or something.Disturbing news! Hope they kiss and make up quickly.
No, you own itDuring the Dish dispute with WRAZ & WRAL, Dish gave me an antenna that's mounted on our roof. We can get all of the stations clearly. After the dispute ended, I had no reason to add locals for whatever that costs. I wonder if I have to give the antenna back should I decided to end my Dish service. If so, I'm not getting up on the roof to get it!

But not using a Dish receiver, right? Or did Dish finally get on the ball?PSIP (OTA) is an option for many.
112 stations provides a lot of leverage. Granted, it works the other way, as 112 stations to lose revenue for, that isn't insignificant either.Sinclair is playing a losing game. I suspect Dish and then others, will refuse to pay. And after Sinclair dissolves, the pieces will be cheaper.
I thought Dish had a Locast app. Am I confabulating? I guess Dish would still have to give out Roku's to those who still use older receivers... Are there any SD receivers left in the field?Charlie will give away Rokus (again) and tell customers to get Locast.
I don't have this issue. But if live is OK and DVR'd material is messed up, then I think your disk is about to go poof.I've tried recording OTA channels but have always had an issue where the image freezes and pixelates every few seconds. Watching live looks fine but recordings are messed up. Has Dish fixed this? I haven't tried in over a year probably.
I see the Locast app on my 4KJ.I thought Dish had a Locast app. Am I confabulating? I guess Dish would still have to give out Roku's to those who still use older receivers... Are there any SD receivers left in the field?
Using non Dish equipment. But not using a Dish receiver, right? Or did Dish finally get on the ball?
It's possible. I'm still using an antiquated receiver with 128 KB RAM with the optional dual tape drive to save tv shows on cassette.I thought Dish had a Locast app. Am I confabulating?
311, 322, 625 among a few others (like the rare 522). Once they are gone then I think that will be the end of SD MPEG2 availability (which is a pretty big chunk of WA)Are there any SD receivers left in the field?
