I have a simple billing question and know this is the place to get answers!!! Thank you all in advance.

I've upgraded to DVR (625) and after all the adjustments I'm back to normal monthly billing.

My Current Service:
I have the 180 pak w/locals.
Hooked to phone line.

This is my bill:
America's Top 180 w/locals 54.99
Dish Network DVR Service Fee 5.98
Leased Receiver Fee 5.00

Does this seem correct for them to include a Leased Receiver Fee (I am connected continuously to phone line)? Is this the fee that should be waived if I'm connected?

Thanks everyone! Have a nice day.

Can someone answer this for me? I am signing up for the Platinum HD package with local channels. My monthly fee is supposed to be about $105, right? I am asking because I saw someone on this board say they pay for some type of E* package and fees for about $135/month.

If the 625 is your only receiver and it is hooked up to a phone line you should not be charged the lease fee. That charge should only be on your bill if you have more than one receiver or if you don't have a phoneline connected....

Hello,
To clarify.
The 625 is leased and is my ONLY receiver (we use 2 TV's with this ONE receiver).
It's constantly hooked to phone line.
180 Pak/locals/DVR

Dishnetwork billed me as follows:
America's Top 180 w/locals 54.99
Dish Network DVR Service Fee 5.98
Leased Receiver Fee 5.00

I'm confused with the conflict in answers above. Sorry I wasn't clear enough in my service and that the receiver is leased.

I'll be paying my bill soon and didn't want to be giving them the extra $5.00 EACH month if it's an error.
Thanks,
Keeya

In my opinion you should not be charged a 5.00 lease fee because it is your only receiver and hooked to a phone line.

If you did a dish'n it up to get this receiver, I belive you have to pay the lease fee. If you got this receiver as part of a new customer signup I would say no.

That would be the monthly fee for programming, but there will be other fees involved. In order to answer your question we would need to know how many receivers you have. Do you have any DVR's? Are your receivers leased?

The Leased Receiver Fee is correct. When you do a Dish'n it up upgrade the new receiver is not part of DHA (Digital Home Advantage) so it is no longer included as part of your programming fees.

I will have 2 receivers. 1 622 and other other one. Both of them have 2 tuners. I don't think they are leased but I am not sure.

If you own your previous receiver you should be able to re-activate it at no additional monthly charge however. Any current customers that own their primary receiver and wants to upgrade to an HD and or DVR receiver, are better off leaving at least 1 owned receiver active on your account, because your monthly fee will be the same weather you add the upgraded receiver or replace your owned receiver with the upgrade. New customers however do not pay a monthly lease fee for their primary or only receiver.

This is my bill, does this seem right?

DIGITAL HOME ADVANTAGE WITH AMERICA'S TOP 180/LOCALS 54.99
DISH NETWORK DVR SERVICEFEE 5.98
DISH NETWORK DVR SERVICEFEE 5.98
ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS 5.99
LEASED RECEIVER FEE 5.00
DISH HOME PROTECTION 5.99
MABUHAY 9.99
CLUBDISH CR 4 OF 12 - ADJUSTMENT -5.00
Account Charges $ 88.92
Total $ 88.92

I get the networks because I am a truck driver and filled out the waiver request saying I would not watch the networks at home but I have to keep both 625's connected to a phone line or get charged another 5.00? Is there a way out of the leased receiver fee or the second DVR fee?
