I tried to go into my HR20 SS screen this morning at 9:13am to see how it was holding during rain, got a message saying that signal testing would have to be stopped to continue.

What exactly is the HR20 up to?

What it was probably saying was that to continue with SS test, all DVR functionality must be stopped. So if you were recording a show, it was just warning you that continuing would cause the show(s) that you were recording to stop recording. No biggie...

Myself and some others have reported over at the other guys this same behavior lately, nothing being recorded but when you try to do a sat sig test you get the pop up saying it will conflict with a signal test. If you wait awhile you'll eventually be able to do it.

I have no evidence here, but what if DirecTV is doing doing nationalwide signal test for the DirecTV10 satellite on peopls receivers who are in the CE program (and while their receiver is idle)

That would be a cool way of them to judge the signal as the start to move DirecTV 10 into place.

Yes, that would be cool. But Elway's HR20 is 24 hours old and is not running the latest CE.

Pretty sure he said he was going to skip this one since he was going to have to setup his prioritizer before going out of town on Monday and didn't want to risk CE dorking it up before he left and left his wife with a paperweight. He's looking for high WAF! :D

Yeah, I skipped it since Ill be outta town for a few weeks, didnt want my wife hunting me down because of issues :) .

It quit after about 30 minutes, was very weird, and let me check the SS.

On the SS note, the Slimline seems to hold better than the Dish 1000.2

I never got below 88 SS on 110 today even in heavy stuff.

Different q.

Have you guy's that have been testing your SS , I am showing good SS on all normal sats, including the 99 and 103, however until now, I did not know that there was a 103 (a) and 103 (b), anyone seen this.
I get good SS on 103(a) but all Zero's on the 103(b)
Is this new , (the b that is) or is this a glitch in the system ???

Its new and for D10 satellite. When the channels are official, 103(b) wont be zero anymore. So keep watching those zeros.

I saw that today when new HR20 was being installed/activated by D* tech. I think 103b is D10.

I've got better signal than before on the 99 as well, as in more transponsers with signal that is.
It's coming guy's !!!
