Signal meter with new SL3-S odu

I have ordered a new SL3-S for use on my portable Slimline dish I take RVing. I was wondering if there are any problems reading the signal meter with this set up. I asume that the meter still goes inline at the dish. I have the green label splitter and power inserter coming too. If there is a diagram floating around, I'd appreciate the link.

Most of us that aren't install tech just use the meter in the receiver/dvr.
