showcase hard drive

has anybody used the new showcase hard drive that is supposed to increase the storage capacity of the vip622? According to dish technical support, that is what it is to do. Or is it just a compatable external hard drive for transferring recorded programs?

It's just an EHD like all the rest. You can transfer programs from the internal drive to it and watch them from the EHD, but you cannot record directly to the EHD.
