Sharp Introducing 70" 4K/UHDTV THX Certified Set in August

Hopefully with certification, there will be an improvement in out of the box color, contrast, etc. than previous non-Elite models.

Would be nice to see content.

I'll be more interested when I can at least demo 4k. I'm sure I'm not alone.

Would be nice to see them settle on a cabling format for 4K before they release these TV's.

Currently to do 4K requires 4 HDMI ports. Joe Kane is pushing for Displayport to be the standard instead.

Displayport vs HDMI 2? Differences? Is HDMI 2 even spec'd yet? Color space handling?

I see an AV receiver with HDMI 1.4, 2 (or such) & some legacy (optical, etc) in my eventual future.

Tivo Premier and Amazon VOD

Is there a decent universal remote on the market?
