Ok Guys I got a DMS International SG6100 Monster Motor today. I will do a full review with pictures and the whole nine yards(who knows where that saying originated?). Anyway I don't have time today to write up a full review. I will say however in my 17 years of Satellite Experience I would recommend this motor. It is not built as well as a STAB, but it is close. From the time I got it from the delivery driver and up and running was about 45 mins. That says a lot for this motor. Yes I have done lots of motors and know what I am doing, but the point is it went fast. So far it is tracking the arc very well. Very Happy with it.

Very nice first impression.
Maybe DMSI took a page from Sadoun and their DG-380.
Looking forward to more , as you accumulate some hours with it. :up
.

I think that's about how long it took me to get my first HH motor going, the DG380. That was after a few fits and starts of engineering, because I put an old primestar dish on mine, lol. If you have a dish made to clamp right on that motorshaft , 45min is still a good time.

Yes it would have went faster, but had other things going on ha. I will get a review up in a couple of days. I am using it now and it is working really good so far. I will say this real quick I put a 90cm GEOSATpro dish on it. It says that you can put up to a 1.4 Meter dish on it with no problem, kinda skeptical about that. I have a 1.2 meter that I will put on it to try later.

Might break it

So far though really impressed, with it, I was very skeptical about it.

I like mine so far. :) I had a spare but someone talked me out of it.

Can you get this motor with the larger (55 mm?) shaft?

I see that you mention a size (1.4 m) limit but that doesn't really mean anything...do they have a weight limit listed?

Tim said they don't list weight limits but did say a 20# 1.4cm dish would be just fine.

Props to Tim I think he's got a winner winner chicken dinner.

Thanks for checking on that...any news on the tube sizes?

I have never heard of a 1.4 m dish, just 1.2, 1.5 and 1.8 in that size range. 20# is not much, I bet Brian's 1.2 m w/mount weighs that much, or more. Also think the .9m, or 1.0 "Prodelin-style" commercial fiberglass dishes w/any kind of homemade mount weigh more than that, hopefully Tim is just being conservative with his weight estimate.

Hope this one turns out to be a keeper, there is a definite need for a good USALs H-H motor of this type.

Yup I would bet he is. Sorry about forgetting to ask about the 55mm I will get you an answer.

Not yet they are waiting on some tooling.

Tooling huh. I wish the shaft was bigger, I think I may modify it myself and put on a bigger shaft.

I thought you were out of duct tape. :)

Thanks, sounds like it may be in the works, think they would sell more if they had the option for both sizes.

Any chance a DG380 shaft (pic below) could be adapted?

Just recycled 200 - 55mm motor adapter posts for the now defunct GEOSATpro GS120 motor. They are not interchangeable with SG2100, SG6000, DG380s or any other motor tested.

Trust me, we tried to find a buyer and sent out a half dozen samples. Each model seems to have a unique mounting stud design... :(

Yeah I would like to see the motor end....but that is what I was thinking too, bet it won't work.

Not quite Viagra

The "bigger shaft mod" I remember last time this was a problem....
- get a length of plastic pipe that won't quite slip into the shaft
- slice it lengthwise with just one saw kerf
- force it onto the existing motor shaft
- can't make it longer, just fatter
