During the broadcast, one of the SES guys said they planned to put SES 2 into commercial service in early November.

great! Sounds like SES is ready to get their SES-2 bird right into service after a very normal post-launch/checkout timeline. Drift time after testing will also be shorter as the test slot is much closer to the operation slot than SES-3's was.
