Second guessing my Tivo HD

Just ordered a Tivo HD unit earlier this week, and is supposed to arrive on the 15th.

Right now I have OTA only, but as seeing how many HD channels DirecTV is adding, I am wondering if I made the right choice?

I'm torn right now. For now, I'm happy with OTA only. But with all the new HD offerings out there, that may change my mind pretty quickly.

Any thoughts if I should return this and just live with my SD DVD recorder (which is adequate as it does have a digital tuner, but its not the most convenient to use) for now? So many choices.

Well, after using Tivo just a few days, its definately a keeper.

From what I've read many of the new HD channels have little and some no HD content. It doesn't seem worth paying for yet.

If you already sub to the SD version on D* there is no increased cost.

His cost is zero currently, if you have directv already its a no brainer.

I get what you are saying kb. It would be about $70/mo or more for me to get D*'s HD.

Luckily, I'm pretty happy with my OTA only right now. There is actually some good stuff on that TiVo finds that I didn't know was still playing. Stuff like Chappelle's Show and Sanford & Son. It's on late late night on the CW, but it can still find it.
