Will DishTV include a second dish if needed for new customers? I want the Pentagon channel on 61.5 and will also need the 1000+ for my area. (zip 62269) Is there certain packages that include a free install for the second dish, etc? Thanks

It is my understanding that they will add if needed. What is your reason for needing 61.5 as I don't think PI channels are viewed as being needed. If something from international, local, sky angel or some other package that you pay for, it would be added.

The only thing on 61.5 that I know of and I want is the Pentagon Channel. I will be getting the Everything package with HD and locals. Also going to get Multi-Sport (Midwest) and the Superstations. Do you know what HD channels come in on? Do they come in on two satellites and then I could choose which one. I know this will require pulling in five satellites for my area (62269). So with the DPP44 switch I will leave either 61.5 or 129 disconnected. I am going to get the second dish even if I have to pay for it. I was just wondering what else could be ordered that they would pay for the second dish. I might consider getting it if it is worth it.

The HD channels depend on your location, most of what you mentioned could be gotten on one of the Dish 1000 type dishes. I am assuming you will get St. Louis for your locals, if this is right then, superstation are on 119, most of the AEP would be split accoss 119 and 110 which includes your local rsn, HD locals are on 118.7 which will put you onto either a 500+ or 1000+ dish, and the HD would be split on 110 then either 61.5 or 129. Installers would tend to want to give 129 due to Fox Sports Midwest being on that sat (this would give you HD sports in your area) meaning 61.5 would not be needed, so if you wanted it you would have to pay for it as it take knowledgeable installer to give you the five locations you want (I have seen posts where this can be done). You would have to check with the installer as to what they would charge. If you try to change connections between 61.5 or 129 according to what you want to view, you will need to do a check switch every time you do this. The only packages in your area to give you 61.5 would be some international (a lot of which is mirrored on either 118.7 or 129) or sky angel.

OK, thanks. I really don't want to use the dreaded 129 for all the problems I have read about. I understand the having to disconnect and the check disk routine that will have to be done, but I would rather do that than all the additional switches that would be needed. I am hoping the only thing on 129 if any will be the multi-sports. I can live without that and just connect it up when needed. I will check out that sky angel thing. Thanks for your help. You have been a big help.
