Yeah but that number in my opinion is a thing of the past. Do a comparison over the last 10 years compared to the previous 10 years and I bet there is big difference. Players are more apt to work out after the season is over.
Really?
Following is a list of all NFL running backs over the age of 30 as of the start of the 2007 season.
Mike Alstott, Tampa Bay (33)
Mike Anderson, Baltimore (33)
Stephen Davis, St. Louis (33)
Warrick Dunn, Atlanta (32)
Kevin Faulk, New England (31)
Ahman Green, Houston (30)
Sammy Morris, New England (30)
Lorenzo Neal, San Diego (36)
Michael Pittman, Tampa Bay (32)
Aaron Stecker, New Orleans (31)
Mack Strong, Seattle (35)
Fred Taylor, Jacksonville (31)
Looks like Fragile Fred Taylor was the ONLY exception to the 30 and over RB club. Go figure!
