Seals Entertainment to launch new subchannel

the viability of some (a lot? most?) of these "diginets" is suspect. I guess it is essentially free for a distributor to use their own shows to create a network, but I can't imagine that enough people are watching them for it to be even measurable

something I'd rather see, and I'm surprised no one in at least the larger markets isn't doing it (or at least I haven't heard about it) is using subchannels to avoid blocking network programming during weather and news events. some markets are huge, and storm coverage for a small area causing a major network show to be blocked kind of sucks. and on the other hand, tiny towns in large markets deserve weather coverage as much as anyone else

Why don't US TV networks have their own digital channels?
