SD on a LCD w/ S-video - looks good?

Has anyone connected an SD signal to a HP L2335 LCD or similar? I'm planning on buying an LCD monitor for computer and TV use but am worried about the quality of an SD image on such a high rez monitor. I'll have to use the S-video connector of course.

I don't want to drop $1300.00 for the monitor if it's gonna look like doo when I want to watch TV.

I have a 26 in JVC, and a 37in Sharp LCD's, using the DVI, and as long as you don't stretch it, it okay, some channels are really good, others are really not good.

Never tried the S-Video on them.
