SD DVR Hook up Questions

I have a Direct SD DVR that is capable of recording while watching another program.

I live in a RV with a single lnb Vu Qube antenna. I have it set up as a single DVR currently. I was told by Direct Tech that I could use a swm and hook the single antenna line into it and feed the two recvr. connections.

I picked up a Direct compatable SWM from Radio Shack (2x4) and hooked the antenna into line A and connected to tuner one and two input on the box.. The signal strenth meter showed signal reception on both tuners but when it went through set up it wouldn't work. I have 18" round antenna with SWM selected.

Any suggestions other that a two lnb antenna?

That Radio Shack multiswitch is not a SWM. You need a LNB with two outputs (and cables from each) so both LH and RH circular polarizations can be received simultaneously.

Check the Vu Qube LNB to see if it has two outputs. If so, then run the second line to the receiver.
