Scanning Question

I have Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra and a Primestar dish. I'm mainly interested in finding college football and hockey.

My questions are: Doing a "power scan" with this receiver finds transponders first, then scans channels right? It takes so long to doing this to find the transponders first, I'm wondering how often do I have to do this? How often are transponders added. If I do it once now before the college season starts to make sure all transponders are stored, can I just do a normal blind satellite scan the rest of the winter without having to worry about missing anything?

Blind scan finds transponders, once its found them they will show up as channels.


Some feeds will be in the same place as before and some feeds change, you just never know what will pop in! Plus you have the added benefit of being a member of our WUT area
