Save series for show in prime time?

Am I doing this right? I hit save series for certain shows in prime time. This set up a separate timer on a separate tuner for those shows. What a waste of a tuner if the show is recording on two tuners at the same time. I deleted the timer, now I'm forced to remember to save to DVR after the show is finished recording on PTAT if I want to watch it after the 8 day window. I've already forgotten a few times. Is there any way to have the Hopper automatically save certain PTAT shows without creating a second timer?

Also, on occasion a little gray kangaroo appears in the bottom right corner of the TV screen. What's the significance?

Yes. Save series or a regular timer both work and do not use another tuner. They mark the PTAT recording to save after the 8 days.

Does not use a second tuner. Kangaroo I believe means someone else is watching?

The grey kangaroo in the bottom right corner means that someone has "Hopped" onto your channel...meaning that someone from another reciever has chosen the same tuner as you...both receivers will be watching the same program...just hit the button in the middle of the arrows to make it go away...

As someone already said...you save the series and it only will use one tuner
