Don't forget about us in CT. I hate watching the SOX on NESN where they constantly remind me i'm not watching in HD. Also the locals in hartford would be nice too.
I believe Connecticut is considered part of New England but at least you guys have a few more HD options than we do in Vermont and NH. Because of the terrain up here many of us can't get OTA and since cable companies are not allowed to compete with each other, there's no pressure for them to even get HD in many areas.
Anyway, Dish Network has screwed the Northeast and will continue to do so because we have so few options. I guess I can understand that as a business decision but they could at least stop lying and misleading about it.
I was told by top level Dish executives 2 years ago that we would either have HD LiLs or HD DNS up here "soon". Not only has none of that happened, they screwed us out of the CBS-HD distant feed to boot. Now it looks like we will not be getting any HD RSNs either.
This combined with:
Lowering the PQ of many of the HD channels they do carry.
Forcing us to upgrade from 942s to 622s if we want the newer HD channels (then they turn around and break the 622).
Promise us things like external storage & local-specific weather but don't deliver.
Then they had the nerve to increase prices.
Sooner or later though we
will have options up here (maybe FIOS or better cable options) and then Dish may do something but it better be a lot because right now if anyone offers NESN and the networks in HD I will leave in a heartbeat - even if the price is higher. I'm tired of being lied to.
