SatelliteGuys Remembers Bob Haller

I am saddened to report that Bob Haller passed away unexpectedly yesterday at his home in Pittsburgh, PA. Bob was 61.

I guess I have a lot to thank Bob for...

SatelliteGuys would have never been started if it was not for Bob.

He was being a pain in the ass there posting the same thing over and over again and I had enough in the DBStalk staff area.

While I had no plans to ban him I was just venting Chris instead banned me from DBStalk.

Thus causing me to go on my own and create SatelliteGuys.

What was funny was he left DBStalk and followed me here and has been here ever since.

After that it took me a long time to “get” Bob. But after that I understood and starting liking Bob.

We chatted a few times.

One year for April Fools Day i pissed off most of satelliteguys by posting Bob was made an admin. He loved that joke.

Bob was very active in the Pit. In his memory I have renamed "The Pit" to "Bob's Political Pit"

Rest In Peace my friend. Thanks for helping me create all of this.

I wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all you guys who have given to Bob's GoFundMe. I find it very touching that you guys would give like you have to a guy you have never met. I know it will mean a lot to Rose when she gets the money but it also means a lot to me that you cared so much to give like you have.

Bob RIP. I remember when Bob came to SAtelliteguys when it started. I thought of Bob as a trouble maker and may have had a disagreement with him but i do not recall. I respected him because many times he was insulted and yet he did not explode (there may have been a few times). But he was consistent in his point of view and when the Pit was created, he took almost ownership of it. Scot can you name the pit with his last name as well if possible. This is a nice gesture of you. Is there a way a thread can be pinned to the pit with some of his quotes. I will always remember him because of his "rump" instead of Trump rename. You wiil be missed Bob.

Bob was never troubled..he wore his heart on his sleeve. He was a kind soul who liked to stir things up in a playful way

I rarely agreed with Bob and he annoyed me on many occasions over the years, but rest-in-peace, Bob. I hope we can all find it in our hearts to help his family on the gofundme page set up for him...

I am really, really sad to hear this news I don't have time to post much, but I still read. Bob always brought a smile to my face in the Pit..especially with his famous large font postings. Gone too soon. May he rest in peace.
