Well you can tell by the amount of stuff that Voyager6 has posted about the SatelliteGuys Cruise... that we got in a little trouble in the Bahamas that he dosen't want to talk about.

In fact we were asked never to return after our night in the jail.

We were better behaved after we finally got out of the brig. :)

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

Bad photo op? Guess it beats the usual formal attire photogs standing in your way.

Or lost a game?

Here is a pic of the beautiful NCL Breakaway. This is what you see when you arrive at Pier 88 in NYC.

I have a cruise booked on the sister ship the Gettaway. I really want to see what the new ships offer.

Here's a pic of the slides and another of the ropes course.

Ask Scott what happened when he went down the slides?;) :D

We ran into an old friend near Cape Hatteras on Monday 3/31/14. The Carnival Pride sailed from Baltimore on Sunday 3/30/14.

View from my balcony while docked at Pier 88 in NYC.
That sub is one of the first nuclear missile subs. (It wasn't nuclear-powered, though). It carried two nuclear-tipped cruise missiles. (I had no idea they had cruise missiles back then. ) I checked out the Intrepid museum when I was in town for the Metallica concert back in September.

Looks like a great port to visit even if not going on a cruise. I have not visited the port of NY before.

Fill us in on the important stuff, How was the food, was Slam-in-Allen on board? did you try the touch screens directory by the elevators? Did you eat in the Manhattan Room?

NYC? You kidding? Bunch of rude Yankees there!

;)

I hope to visit Coney Island one day, for a dog+. But it's receding rapidly.

Slam Allen was not on the Breakaway. He left the week before our cruise. Now, for the food. The food in the complimentary areas that we used (Savor, Garden Cafe, O'Sheehan's) was fair to good. The Garden Cafe for breakfast was pretty good. I miss my omelet guy. The Uptown Grill had some very good sandwiches at lunch. The food in the pay restaurants (Cagney's, Moderno, Teppanyuki) was very good to excellent. The exception was the Spiegel Tent where the Cirque Dreams and Jungle Fantasy show was held. The food there was only fair but the show was excellent and I highly recommend it. We saw Rock of Ages and it was also excellent. It is not for kids though. Lots of adult content.

I did use the touch screens. You could make reservations for the shows and restaurants on them, check the wait times at the restaurants and see where any venue was located. You could actually look for a particular game or slot machine in the casino on them.

Thanks for the feed back I was impressed with the system.

Also for the feed back on the restaurants, when I have time I'll post some of my experiences when we went to Bermuda last June.
