Hello, I'm a first timer & have a couple questions on my satellite install. I'm Installing a slim line 5LNB dish for direct TV. I have a single coaxel cable running to the dish. My question is, do i need to run more lines to the dish in order to hook up numerous recievers in the house, or is there a splitter or switch that can be used off the one line?

If you are using the SL5 LNB (with 4 outputs) you will have to run 4 lines to
a groundblock, or multiswitch, then into each receiver (2 lines per DVR), and on this type installation no splitters will work. If it is a SL5S (SWM LNB) then only
one line is required to either a 4 way or 8 way splitter. Hope this helps
