Satellite 148 going down?

Is Dish shuting down 148 satellite ?

all the international customers that i qualify now the work order says that i have to use Dish 500+ , Even if the customer is an International NO SSN promo .

This has been discussed quite a bit. No one knows for sure what the plans are for 148

International are being consolidated at 118.7 so all DISH programming will be at 110-129 if possible to simplify consistent installation. It looks like 61.5 will have to continue for East coast at least until 129 is replaced.

Hi, I thought the 129 DMA exclusions were for LOS and footprint from the not-really-CONUS 129 position.
Are they from installer experience?
I apologize if this was discussed before.

Note: Today when my 121 was adapted for 118.75 the work order specified that internationals cannot be received "from the wings" which I interpreted to mean 61.5 and 148. Internationals are only 118.75.

I subscribe to TV5 France receiving at 148, and I have not received any notice in the mail yet. I certainly hope I don't lose the Pentagon Channel if I am forced to lose 148. I rather like my good signal stregnth at 148. How are strong are the TP signals at 118.7?

The Pentagon Channel Is also on 61.5. If you GET HD from 61.5 Then you shouldn't loose the Pentagon Channel.
