Anyone know anything about these?
I just picked one up at a good price for G10R and know almost nothing about it.

A copy of the user manual would be great.

Cheers all.

Here you go.
Found it from Samsung site.

Cascade,

The Samsung 2700 is relatively easy to operate as you mentioned. Just a couple of questions since mine came in only a few days ago. First, do you know if it's Diseqc compatible? I don't see the logo on the front of the receiver. The on screen menu only allows Lo freq. changes for one LNB so I guess I can't connect it to my two dishes. Don't know if a software upgrade would change this?? My second question is that the receiver asks me to insert the deactivated card in order to veiw the FTA channels. I can't seem to get it to work without the card. Previous owner used receiver for Filipino programming on T5 for which he needed the card for.

thanks in advance,

V.

There's no diseqc at all on the DSR2700.

Hate to say it, if you didn't get the card you're SOL and the unit's a doorstop, you need the card to see anything at all.
I haven't found a software upgrade or even a flasher for the DSR to allow it to operate without the card.

If anyone knows different, please post.

Appreciate the quick response. I actually do have the card so no worries. I'll just be extra careful not to lose it and also to make sure the next receiver comes with a card if I happen to purchase another DSR2700.

I have the big brother DSR3800ci if you want to make an offer on it? DiSEqC 1.2 compatible, less than 9 months old, mint shape, with no previous card worries. Samsung DSR3800
