S511 this morning on my hopper 3 DVR

Because the purchased films are downloaded each time you watch them and don't reside on a receiver. So, they are held on a server for you to use anytime time you wish.
Wouldn't that require the Dish Login credentials (username & password) to survive the Dish subscription cancellation? And if so, what other parts of Dish Anywhere would still work?
 
Having problems with Dish Anywhere after the 511 update. The guide never populates fully...am I the only one having this issue??

Last 3 morning this message keeps popping up. My reset timer is 3am, this message comes up around 730am. U511 is my hopper software version. How do I fix this?

Try putting all of your receivers in standby by 3AM and be sure that you have no recordings set anywhere near that hour.

I notice now that when I try to watch say my Abc Ota station in another room ,like the View being recorded at the same time or over my Amazon fire stick and it is being watched on the hopper , I get a lost ota signal screen on my 4K joey and a lost satellite signal over the fire stick device. But if you go to options you can join the channel being watched on the hopper . This is new. Because before you could just selected the ota channel and tune to the same channel watched by the hopper. This happens even though the ota dongle can record two ota channels at the same time. So now you have to select another screen to join the ota channel instead of just selecting it via the guide.

So far the only thing I've noticed beyond the UI changes is that when I accidentally pressed Play with an in-progress recording's Tile highlighted, it actually started at the beginning of the show instead on taking me to Live TV on that channel. In prior versions, I'd have to press Select on the Tile, and then press Select on the episode to get the contextual menu displaying multiple options, and then choose Watch from the list of options.

I haven't extensively tested this new behavior. I just happened to notice it once.
 
Anyone else notice a new screen pop-up message appearing on the TV just before a DVR timer gets ready to start recording? It says something like “your program is getting ready to record - press select to start watching”.

I cannot figure out a way in the settings to get rid of this message, and it’s only a matter of time before someone else in the family sees it and asks me why this nuisance message is showing up.
 
Well, the new update didn't solve my problem with my EHD disappearing each morning and requiring one or more reboots to get it back. And these new icons, with no text underneath, SUCK. It's not just harder to see, but, for example, I'm looking at the icon for a movie I recorded off TCM, and there's a screenshot from the movie with no movie title anywhere - not in the icon, not below the icon. I have to put the cursor on the icon to see what it is.

This has to be fixed.
 
Update is messing with my h3. It's regularly doing 5 min resets where the screen suddenly goes dark and takes forever to reboot. If i interrupt it by unplugging, then I get a pop up message telling me it's been a while since my last reset. That's some bs.

They made it so the hopper is forced to reboot daily. You can change what time it does it in the power settings. And i agree its total bs
