S50 update any good?

Just got an email announcing a new 'update' for my S50.

I'm just wondering ..... my s50 is an older pre-fcc 'power' mandate meaning that I can turn my s50 on in the house and tune to the station in my front driveway & still listen to it.

I've heard that the S50 is one of the units that they can adjust the power by a software update.

Anyone have any details about this new software? Will it effect the power output on it?

Guess I don't dare to update until I've heard more about what it contains ... other than the usual new wallpapers and some other feature they mentioned it contained about 'pausing' or something.

Beagle, I would go check over at siriusbackstage. I put the new firmware on mine and it seems to be OK, I don,t know nothing about the FCC power thing.

I believe the recent update is for the bookmarking feature. I have not done the latest update yet. There is extensive discussion on the Backstage link johninbricknj provided.
