Funny, but it looked staged. First, there was no reason for the woman to immediately start throwing blows within a second of her phone being taken from her. The normal reaction would be for her to assess the situation and yell for help, and not confront a larger male over a phone. Second, most criminals don't turn back around to engage the victim...he could have started running and never been caught. Finally, I've been this scenario play out time and again in professional wrestling dressing rooms and back stage.
