I think we will see the next generation HD DVR by the end of this year or January at the latest.

Care to guess on the HMC? Enquiring minds with choices to make in the NYC DMA want to know...

If it's as late as I think it will be, with no HD clients, I'm not going to bother waiting (assuming there's "compelling" HD additions for NY in MPEG4).

My guess on the availability of the HMC is April 2006. Exactly 2 years after the first HD DVR.

No price on the 5 LNB dish as of yet, but every HD customer will be upgraded at no charge, with another 2 yr. programming commitment.

I just comitted to an extra year with the Mover's Connection install, using my existing equipment. Will they upgrade me to the new equipment and just extend an extra 2 years? Thanks!!
