you are correct. Evansville is adding RTN soon
LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Mar 12, 2008 (PrimeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) -- Retro Television Network (RTN), which is owned and distributed by Equity Media Holdings Corporation (Nasdaq:EMDA), announced today that it plans to add an RTN affiliate in Evansville, IN. The new affiliate will launch this summer on a digital stream of WEHT-TV, Evansville's ABC affiliate that is owned by Gilmore Broadcasting Company.

Doug Padgett, President and COO of WEHT-TV, said, "With the flexibility and turnkey nature of the RTN business model, it's the right place and the right time for us."

"Our audiences will watch prime time stars throughout the day on RTN, including James Garner in Rockford Files, Jack Klugman in Quincy, M.E., Raymond Burr in Ironside, Jack Lord in Hawaii 5-O and Don Adams in Get Smart," said Mark Dvornik, Executive Vice President of RTN. "On the weekends, viewers will see The Partridge Family, The Monkees, The A-Team, Knight Rider, Kojak, Airwolf, Gunsmoke, The Wild Wild West and many more."

RTN is the first completely-customizable, national television network to provide a 24/7 digital feed of hit shows to each of its affiliates. The network's unique design allows each affiliate to remain in complete control while RTN runs the local and national master control from its central hub. RTN also offers customizable news and weather for each market, hosted by network-provided talent.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Mar 13, 2008 (PrimeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) -- Retro Television Network (RTN), which is owned and distributed by Equity Media Holdings Corporation (Nasdaq:EMDA), announced today that it will partner with Trans-America Broadcasting Corporation to launch an RTN affiliation in Fresno, CA. The network will begin airing in April on a digital stream of KAIL-TV.

"We are thrilled to partner with RTN and the great programming that they bring to the table," said Robert M. Jenkins, II, Program Director for KAIL-TV. "Without quality programming, broadcasting on our .2 would be a waste of our time and resources. The network's lineup features programs that we have successfully aired on our primary channel."

"Very soon, viewers will see RTN's 'Prime Time All the Time' lineup with hit shows like Perry Mason, The Rockford Files, Magnum, P.I. and Hawaii 5-0, said Mark Dvornik, Executive Vice President of RTN. "The weekend lineup will include Emergency!, Kojak, Airwolf, The A-Team, Knight Rider and The Wild Wild West.

Equity Media Holdings Corporation - RTN Announces Agreement With Citadel Communications, Adding 3 New Stations

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Apr 2, 2008 (PrimeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) -- Retro Television Network (RTN) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Citadel Communications Company to launch RTN programming in three markets. The new affiliates will air on the digital streams of WOI-TV (Des Moines-Ames, IA), KLKN-TV (Lincoln, NE) and WHBF-TV (Davenport, IA/Rock Island-Moline, IL).

"We look forward to the launch of RTN in three of our markets. "Like the programming on RTN, it's a 'classic' win-win."

"Today we are announcing a three-market deal for RTN with Citadel Communications to carry our 'Prime Time All the Time' lineup," said Mark Dvornik, Executive Vice President of RTN. "Citadel's strong management team in each of their markets makes them an ideal network affiliate."

I checked, and RTN that is the sub carrier of KWWL has EMERGENCY! listed at 4p on Sat and Sun - Partridge Family too :) The KWWF feed does NOT have these shows, so I will have to get it via OTA. WOI - Des Moines......2 hour drive....... probably need a BIG antenna?

Larry
I checked FCC records and WOI-DT is running a whopping 500 watts right now...they have a construction permit to go 1000Kw (max for digital) but right now they ain't running much power
so I will have to get KWWL via OTA.
you should be able to. Isn't that station in Waterloo and not Cedar Rapids?

KWWL is a Waterloo NBC station. The transmitter is 1/2 way between Cedar Rapids and Waterloo. Here in Waterloo we get the Waterloo stations and the Cedar Rapids Stations. I used to be able to get (when conditions were just right) the Mason City station faintly. I never have tried for the Des Moines ones. I have been tempted to get a big OTA and a rotor and point over to the DM area (opposite direction of my locals).

When my grandparents were alive in Steamboat Rock, they got Des Moines OTA with a 20' tower and rotor.

p.s. Hey Ice, when are you and I in the 'Minnee' market going to get RTN............just in case they decide to scramble G10 ?!!??

I don't know....I mentioned it a while back that the best option I could see is them going with HUbbard on either KSTP (ABC 5) or KSTC (45)..

Since CBS, Fox & NBC are all owned by media conglomerates here, I could see them teaming up with KSTC and doing
45-1 KSTC and newer shows
45-2 RTN and the older shows

but maybe its a pipe dream....

agreed :)

But I havent seen them use 45-2 this year for that. HD games have been on 5

got a buddy in Cedar Rapids and that's what she picks up too...well just not KWWF ;)

Equity Media Holdings Corporation - RTN Adds Affiliate in Palm Springs
LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Apr 4, 2008 (PrimeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) -- Retro Television Network (RTN) announced today that it will add a Palm Springs affiliate next month on KDPX-TV. The station is available over-the-air on Channel 45 and on Time Warner Cable on Channel 14.

"We are very excited about our launch of RTN in Palm Springs. I think there is a real pent up demand in our market for a network like RTN," said James Primm, General Manager of KDPX-TV. "Over the past 10 years since we first went on the air, I have had many viewers ask us to bring them many of the programs we will now carry on RTN. Despite its emphasis on 'retro programming,' I think RTN is developing a network that makes sense for us and our viewers today."

Johnstown/Altoona/State College, PA being added

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Apr 9, 2008 (PrimeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) -- Retro Television Network (RTN) announced today that COX Television plans to add a 7th RTN affiliate on its Johnstown/Altoona/State College, PA station. The network's "Prime Time All the Time" lineup will launch early next year on a digital stream of WJAC-TV, COX's NBC affiliate in the market.

"RTN has generated lots of positive feedback to our station, so it makes all the sense in the world to expand this franchise to our nearby sister station, WJAC, in Johnstown," said WPXI and WJAC program director Mark Barash. "Once word of RTN gets out in the Johnstown, Altoona, and State College market, I think the viewers will respond as they have in Pittsburgh."

"We are excited to add another Cox Broadcasting station to RTN's growing affiliate body," said Mark Dvornik, Executive Vice President of RTN. "The strength of our network is reflected in the strong local broadcasting partners we have affiliated with like WJAC-TV."

42-2 still shows a "coming soon" banner page. The channel guide on my D* HR20 is showing a programming schedule starting on the 19th, but the programming isn't going yet.

Speaking of KEYE and RTN -- KEYE news just reported this is being turned on Monday, June 2, on OTA 42-2 and TWC channel 1532.

I dropped the kind folks at KEYE a note via their webpage to let Dish know, so maybe the EPG will be populated.

Thanks for the note (I was out to dinner with the other half :) )

WKRG-DT3 recently went online in Mobile, I found it tonight with a channel scan. Even gets guide data on the Dish receiver!
