RSNs in south Jersey

When I was checking the D* web site the other day I happen to see that I should not be blacked out from Rangers, Islanders, Knicks, Devils, & MetroStars games on MSG, FSN NY & YES. Whenever I try to view any of those channels, I get the "call customer service..." message. So I finally called and was told that I was only able to watch those specific teams and no other content on the channels. Does this sound correct or was the CSR just blowing smoke up my ass?

I know when I had Dish I was able to watch everything except MLB games.
