Rented movies in canada

I just got dish network in Canada and if I try to purchase a movie with my phone line, what would happen, I can not
Purchase them online.

Not sure what Canadian rules and setups are, you may want to check with them if you have an Canadian account. If you mean you set up an account giving address and phone line from the States, Dish will probably find out and shut you off.

I highly doubt that they are that worried about a Canadian accessing programming. If you do it over the internet, I dont think that they would go to the time or expense to track something as minute as that. I am sure that they are happy to have you as a paying customer if you are in Canada or not, as long as they dont "know" that you are in Canada.

here's a tip: search other topics dealing with having service in Canada.

Cliff Notes version: it's illegal. it's outside the area Dish is licensed to service, and against Canadian law (not sure exactly how, but it is)
