Remote setup

I have a D10-300 and a Toshiba Digitial Media Server (DVR). The manual for the D10 says that the upper set of buttons on the remote can be programmed to operate a standalone DVR but then offers no codes or instructions on how to do that. Any suggestions?

Go to Directv's web site to see if they have codes for a RC16 remote.

You can control a tivo or a replaytv partially using vcr codes on av1 or av2 device slots. Partially because keys like GUIDE are locked to the DTV symbol device which only control D10 and subsequent dtv receivers. The tivo code is 20618, and the replaytv codes are 20614 & 20616.
