remote issues

I did an install of a 222 to 2 rooms. TV 2 remote works fine. TV1 remote will not work unless the reciever is as far away from tv as possible. Its an older RCA flat panel TV. Can the screen generate radiation that would block the TV1 remote IR. I tried the old and new remotes nothing works that would allow the reciever to be in the entertainment center under the TV. Already put 3 222s in and tried 6 different remotes still getting the same issue.

Change from IR to UHF on TV1. That should do the trick.
