Does anyone know how to change the Primary and Secondary DNS servers on the VIP622? I need to set them to specific servers for remote access.

You can't, you'll have to set them in your DHCP server.

The ip for your receiver should be assigned by the DNS server in your router. The Primary DNS should be the IP of your router, and the secondary may be will probably be 0.0.0.0. What exactly are you trying to do and why do you need to change the DNS server.

Although what you say is common it is not true for all routers. E.g one router I used to use defaulted to 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.3 for the DNS servers. And I have seen some that give the real DNS servers of the ISP. So it is essentially what your DHCP server assigns. And for the person who said he had specific ones he needed to use, most Routers allow you to specify the dns addresses assigned by there builtin DHCP server.

That is very true. My previous router passed the true DNS.

Manual setup of a network connection would normally be where you'd need to specify DNS servers. That isn't an option for Dish receivers. You MUST have a DHCP server to automatically set up it's network connection.
