Recording PBS HD OTA

When recording KET channel 15.3 which is the subchannel they transmit the HD programming on, the recording skips or records a blank program. On the blank program it says it is 1 hr long, start playing back and it immediatly goes to program over. Does this on the 722 and the 622's. Is this some kind of program recording protection?

Is this set with a timer or do you press the record button as the show begins?

Do you have locals?

If so, does the chanel in question show in your locals?

Both.

I have locals. Yes it shows.

Morre info - if I watch it on the Sony OTA every thing is perfect.

From past experience, I've had better luck recording from antenna or cable anything from any of the PBS channels, either to a VCR or DVD recorder. I haven't got a DVR yet because of the many complaints of the hard drive messing up one way or another with the recordings.

How is the signal strength on the DVRs? I've found that the OTA tuner on my TV is much better than that in the 622...
