Just wanted to get some feedback on this, I bought the HD package from DirecTV in September including the $50 antenna. It was hooked up and everything appeared to be ok except that I live 10 minutes outside of Baltimore and I could only get the Wash DC HD local channels. After haggling with DirecTV for a while, they agreed to send a technician out to look into the problem. The tech told us that because we live on the lower slope of a hill, that we would have to buy a different (better) antenna. The price of this antenna for the area we live in is $400. DirecTV said they will refund us the $50 but has anyone else had this problem? Does this $400 sound legitimate or are we being taken? Thanks.

Get you $50 back.

Visit AntennaWeb and be correct in your situational selections and you will get the proper antenna as well as finding the correct headings for your antenna.

$400 is a joke, UNLESS they were adding up an antenna, some sort of antenna tower, cable, and labor costs to install it all.

Shop around!
