Where it's Warm
Activated a new 722 receiver and I see that they upgraded the signal meter so as to show a lower signal strength and indeed it has been rescaled in some manner to report a lower number. But, I ask myself -- Why?? What was wrong with the old signal range?

the best analogy i give to customers, is it is like a fareheit to celcius conversion, same temoperature just measured on a different scale, as long as your green with that high pitched tone your'e good to go.

Conforming all receiver to same signal metering so it's consistant.

Not true. Legacy receivers still have the old meter strengths (which actually make sense). I still can't understand why Dish changed the scale so that 80 - 100 is now 30 - 50. I guess they wanted more calls to the Philippines.

It is true for any receiver E* still sends out on new installs. And that is the stated reason they gave for changing the metering.

CBS CSTV HD

does turbo affect vip211 receiver
