Receiver not finding sattelite , Switching from round18" to 3LN HD Dish

OK, So I ran a new line directly to the receiver, still say searching for sattelite. Once again, I pointed slimline dish to satellites using AcutracIII to aquire signal. One dumb question, switching dishes from 18" round to slimline 5LNB, must one reset reciever configuration to slimline 5LNB before trying to aquire signal?

Absolutely! The receiver has to have the correct lnb chosen in order to process the signal.

OK, Problem was wrong elevation, acquired signal.
In doing so I broke the elevation adjustment thing:rant:
Anyone know where I can get a replacement?:

I think you would have to get an entire dish unless you can find a base for parts on eBay. Perhaps a local installer has a damaged dish that has a good base on it. If the elevation setting is right now, why not leave well enough alone?
