Time for more random thoughts!
1. Graham Harrell is a BEAST!
2. TBS definitely had a much better postseason than last year- only one series sweep and a heartstopping ALCS
3. Here's how bad are the Chiefs are, IMO: you know how Sandra runs triathlons? If she ran against the Chiefs defense, after what I saw the Titans do yesterday, she'd run for 300 yards in the first half. You'd think she was the second coming of Jim Brown!
4. If New England doesn't beat Denver tonight, would this be the worst sports weekend ever for Bill?
5. Who's more likely to run the table in a good way: Tulsa or Ball State?
6. It feels like it's been 20 years since the 49ers were good.
7. Here's an interesting fact: the Philadelphia Eagles have made the playoffs the last six times in an NFL season coincided with an election (1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008; also, their title came in 1960 and made a Super Bowl in the 1980 seasom)
8. Is this stretch of Lion football since 2001 worse than Tampa Bay's streak of double-digit losses from 1983-1996? I say no; at least the Lions have better unis.
9. Am I the only one who thinks the Colts could get humiliated by the Titans on Monday night?
10. Why don't the Dolphins and Redskins EVER wear the colored unis at home?
11. The NFL has a new 'History of the Cleveland Browns' DVD coming out this week. I'm sure HD MM is salivating at that.
12. The Cleveland Browns may not have a great record so far, but they have more heart, effort and dignity than the Cowboys have shown this year.
13. John Fox has saved his job status this year
14. Are these Cowboys as dysfunctional as the New York Knicks or not?
15. After seeing the stats and highlights from the Seattle/Tampa Bay game, I can't blame John Madden for taking a rest!
16. The Atlanta Falcons are thinking to themselves, "If the Rays can go from pathetic to pennant-winners, why not us?"
17. When was the last time the Baltimore Orioles were decent? There's another baseball team that has gone from proud to pathetic.
18. Philadelphia and Tampa Bay have an interesting history when it comes to football (four playoff matchups) and hockey (two playoff series)- let's hope this series is as interesting as those!
19. If Tennessee plays Buffalo for the AFC Championship, how bad would the ratings be?
20. On my fave five of group members, I have HD MM, Sandy, BillD, Jimbo, but I'm deciding between mccoy or Paul Wozniak as the fith and final member.
