Rain Shield<------- Does It Work?

I'v seen ads on the web for this stuff saying its like rainx for a satellite dish and it also keeps snow off of it, has anyone had good luck with this stuff?

Works great. Very effective when applied to the face of the LNBF.

it wont stop the signal from crapping out when there is very dark clouds to the south but for rain it does help. Its not a miracle worker but helps a little bit. And with FTA any extra signal points you can get the better

Personally, I don't know how effective it is as I have never used it. Are there some test results out there ?

Since most signal is blocked etc before it ever reaches the dish, like Iceberg says, it's marginal at best, but with FTA any help with signal is appreciated.

I have used it before and if applied on the LNB it does bead the water off but again the dark clouds will kill pretty much any signal (except for C-band)

clouds are OK...its when those clouds have lots of precip in them
