I got the referral e-mail from a board mod and it seems all the stuff in the e-mail is outdated (from 07). Now I know there is still a referral program but I want to know if the number they gave me is the "promo code" when I sign up online. I want to order D* via the web and not do it over the phone. So to sum it up, can I use their referral code when placing an online order?

They have extended the referral offer as-is through end of March. I think you must do it on the phone to use the referral. I think you'll get better deal overall on the phone too, especially if there is extra hardware etc.
The web just gives the default national discount. the csrs can give any applicable discounts, including those that say online only.
