Questions regarding receiver upgrades...

I had a couple questions and i am hoping someone can answer them. I have a 211 receiver that is in my bedroom and I want to upgrade so I can DVR in my room. I have 2 622's and Im guessing that Dish wont allow me to get another considering i had a hell of a time getting my second one. So my question is..

1. If i got the external HDD (when it will work for the 211) can i just record on it or will i be able to pause and rewind?

2. Should I try and get a 621 or whatever it is (the new one that is just a single tuner). and does anyone know how much it would cost.

You can get a 622. I have 4 of them and recently added a 722. I lease one of the 622's and the new 722, and the rest I just bought. I think you can only do 1 of the DishN-itUp per year, but otherwise you should be ok to add more.

Not sure when the software for the external hard drive will be downloaded to the 211. There has been talk of it for many months without the software showing up yet.
