Hello I am looking for some helpful information , that will help me find out if the LNBF I received with my 12-foot Andrews dish works or not.
By reading some info from here, I read that the metal box mounted on the bottom of my DMS-didital C/Ku_LNBF Mod-BSC621-2 is a Dual C-Band combiner/control box of vertical and horizontal tranmissions , does this mean that I do not need to rotate the BSC621-2 (Skew) in order to receive the proper signal needed from the Sats.
I thought that metal box was a switch required for the receiver to choose C-band or Ku_band from the LNBF , if it is also a switch ? , will it still work with another switch called DiSEqC Switch 4 in 1 , so I can choose my other dishes locked onto other Sat's ?
I only get the green signal bar to come up to 79% on my CW-800 with the BSC621-2 on 12-ft Andrew dish pointed at 125*W , I am using this Sat for my first C-band test because it is really in the clear , with no trees at all, even 127*W which ever one is easier for the first reception of C-Band DVB channels .
I am going out now to try my Focus Linear 10750 LNB on that dish , just to get it locked on to one of those two Sat's first (125*W or 127*W) using Ku-band settings on the receiver, then if I lock onto one , I will put back on the BSC621-2 and change the Sat and tranponder settings on my CW-800 receiver to hopefully view C-band from that sat , unless the free BSC621-2 LNBF I got with the dish is garbage.
Helpfull information would be appreciated , I am considdering buying a new DMS-LNBF with C-band only (no Ku), from Transat Electronics.
