Question regarding the Auto pay discount

Are you asking that as what the poster should do or what you should do? The poster is upgrading to a Hopper 3 and that may change what is available to him. The upgrade itself may include a deal and is a two year contract and may not allow for other ones. He has to talk to DIRT to figure all that out it isn't something we would know and could be account specific.

If you mean for any current subscriber not in a two year contract, there are hundreds of posts of the deal DISH has been offering including a $10 discount off core packages and the autopay discount which can be combined. There are also some other discounts many can get such as the movie pack 1/2 price deal.
OK. As of now I don't believe I get any discount or service in return that I know of. However, if I do upgrade to H3, I could get something in return for AutoPay. It's just that I remember, years ago, Dish always giving something in return for using AutoPay, but it seems over the years they don't (HD for a while), unless an upgrade, perhaps. Yes, it is confusing and I am confused, but I think I understand that AutoPay comes with some return in certain situation, but not always outside of that.

I believe the price now for Top 200 is $69.99 with the $10 discount and $5 autopay. It's $65 for me because I got it before the price increase. (When I got it the price was $79.99 now $84.99) Do you not get any locals? If OTA can you watch Shark Tank for free on ABC? You can watch it for free online including this season. I think there is a week wait to watch the newest episode.
Also do you need either/or the sports packages year round?
So you didn't lose a $5 credit?
You price lock was set for $69.99 on Top200
Correct?

You Bill probably looked like this
Top 200 $79.99
$10 credit $69.99
$5 auto pay credit $64.99

Since the change.
TOP 200 $74.99
$5 price lock credit, since the basepackage went $5 less than your original price lock
$5 autopay credit
$10 Locals charge
Total $74.99

Even if you still get a $10 credit on your price lock, Your Bill would have still increased $5 to $69.99 because there is no Price lock available to include a locals charge when it didn't even exist prior to February.

Unless your price lock was accepted within the past 3 weeks.

I would love to see your bill breakdown.

I would say you are correct in that at one time both autopay and paperless billing together automatically got you free HD. With there no longer being an HD fee it seems to have transformed into a $5 credit but you have to ask for the discount that I believe most/many will get. The $10 package price discount and price freeze started last year for current customers with a new two year contract. I got it immediately and It resulted in my charge for the Top 200 with locals being $64.99 instead of the now $84.99.

Not necessarily. Others with the Renewal Offer (as opposed to a new customer deal) have posted that their price did not go up. I can't judge by my account because I have Flex Pack, which did not have the change in locals price that the other packages experienced.

Mine did not go up $5. (didn't go up at all) For top 200 it says $74.99 regular price, my discount cost is $59.99. Add a $10.00 locals cost and deduct a $5 autopay discount. Total is as it was $64.99. Very happy I signed that deal.
