does this fit on the same poles or mounts as the regular 3 lnb HD sat dish?

my story....the first time direc tv came out to install hd they said i could not get it because of the building next door...i already was a normal subscriber....so they said a second opinion would come out and try...

the second guy succeeded but had to put it on my roof and on a tall pole...no local hd...hundred bucks cash out of my pocket.....not the slimline

i felt like none of the installers even tried any different locations like the backyard which is further bcak from the roof.....

second question: are there any direc tv contractors that i could contact and see if they can get a signal somewhere else....if anyone could recommend one in the baltimore, md area it would be much appreciated.....

The Slimline uses a 2" pole which is larger than the 3 lnb dishes. You should be able to find an independent installer that will do a site survey for you. Check the Yellow Pages. It should run around $30.

i know the slimline uses that but what about the AT9 the sidecar thingy? i will check out the yellow pages thanks.
