Question about mpeg4?

I'm trying to get my mind wrapped around this:

1. Are all channels mpeg4 now, SD and HD?
2. Are VIP receivers the only mpeg4 units available?
3. If the answer to #2 is yes, then what happens to stb's such as DP322 and DP311 & 301?

For others that might be reading this thread and wondering:

Dish HD is in MPEG-4. Most SD is in MPEG-2. Certain LiLs and Internationals might be in either. Eastern Arc is MPEG-4.

Only the ViP series of receivers, and the 411, are MPEG-4 capable.
