Question about canceling D*

I'm moving in the next week or so, and I will be canceling D*. My question is, can I call D* beforehand, say tomorrow, and tell them I want to terminate service as of date x, or do I have to call and cancel on date x?

Question: are you still in a contract?

If so, canceling won't just be a simple call unless you have a great reason and DirecTV service can't follow.

If not, call a day or two before and schedule for one day after you are sure that you will be moved. Try to do this before a new billing cycle.


So now to be nosy; where are you moving?

O.K., unless something in D* agreements has changed, my (2 year) contract will have expired as of November 2007, and I will by out of the house before the next billing cycle. my cycle begins late month.

I'm moving an hour north of the Tampa Florida.
