That is not the QQ Box. I had one of those and it had a bad tuner. I returned it to China and got my money back.

QQ Box Version 05 Fix

Fix the 05 by adding a strip of electrical tape to the USB end of the board.

Like you can see is this one with a LME2510c chipset and a sharp tuner

I go try of the QQ-box works when the metal enclosure is removed and adding a strip of electrical tape to the USB end of the board.

Good Pics.

I checked all the solder connections and all look good. There is alot of Fiberglas dust on the board that you can clean off with an air hose or artists soft bristle brush.

If you can remove the box end plate at the USB side, you can apply the tape to it.

general question

I tested the receiver with ProgDVB (current version)and it works good.
With DVB Dream it works the best. when you boot DVB Dream it automatically selects the LME driver. It's like the two were made for each other.
Both programs find the current driver LME.......7395 version 2.0.1 and load while ignoring the older LMEDVBS.DLL driver.

1- if Unknown USB error message, it is most likely the crystal or the tuner, the uP is the more reliable.
2- if low signal check the LNBF voltage while scanning. If it does not shift between 14 and 18 volts, the tuner is most likely bad.
3- if red lock led is on always, its a bad tuner.

I have my qq box since friday and of course it's not working. In windows xp media center, with dvbdream or else. The informations of getting it work are seeded everywhere on this forum, and the links are not working plus writing in shortens are not helping for a newbee. I thought it's not needed to be a programmer to use a tv player in windows.
Is there a conclusion in this forum with driver download links and explanation about qq box vs. human kind/xp?

Hi Killergaboca-

Welcome-

Please download this driver file and unzip. Read the doc files on where to place the files. The driver on the disk you have is no good.
Be sure you have XP SP2 installed.

Thank you, i'll try tomorrow. I try to find the driver with your description. The chinese letters i can't see, but it doesn't matter. (i think) If you placed a link to the driver in reply, it's not working. I try to use it with sp3.

What lnb/dish/switch setup do you have?

What Software?

Go back to post number 116 and you will find the correct driver file posted there. The system will not let me double post a file.

QQ Box Black Screen Bits of Audio

A driver (LME0288) problem with certain programs and codec occurs that produces no video and little bits of audio. This can occur in BlazeDTV and ProgDVB.

DVB Dream does not seem to have this problem.

QQ Box DISEqC switches

The QQ Box will work with a 4 port DISEqC 1.0 switch. It can have H-H motors in line but will not operate them.

If an Ecoda 22Khz switch is placed after the DISEqC switch the LME0288 driver will create a serious overheat problem in the QQ Box. Both LED's will turn off and L101 and C106 become very hot. The receiver will not operate in this condition and can be damaged.

Anyone know what driver to use for TSReader?

None of the drivers work in AltDVB so my guess is that If TSReader doesen't work with the driver in post #116 then it does not have a compatible driver.

Re: Post #154

QQ Box Black screen and bits of audio. I have noticed that this seems to happen with only some TP's. Also I noticed in my Diamond 9000HD that RTV comes in fine with 78 SQ and a Universal LNBF but not at all with a Standard LNBF and SQ 89. At the same time the QQ Box will display the Standard LNBF SQ89 signal just fine. I have also noticed that one of the TP on AMC21 with a 4444 SR is slow to tune on the Diamond 9000HD. Being that we are dealing with consumer grade electronics some crap is to be expected.

Thank you for your help! I use it with simple universal LNB with 65cm dish in Europe. The receiver system and dish settings are working with an other set top box, i just change the coax cable to qq box until i figure out how does it works. Now i see some more communication between qq and one player, but still no signal. Need time to practice or a miracle. Next month i'm travelling, there i want to use it. I asked for a driver the seller and he sent to me this download link, i think it's the original cd content for qq box: 2shared - download T-3.rar

1ADAM12, you said around page 9 that the qqbox wouldnt work with a Dish LNB (Legacy LNB). There were mixed reports about qqbox working in win7 as well.

I am confused, I just ordered one and it hasn't shipped yet. Could you please post an update of the current compatibility regarding win7 and legacy LNB?

I am using DVBdream, if that makes a difference.
