The more i read, the more i get confused.
I'm sitting here on my lunch break :)hungry:) and go over the fact sheet from invacom.

Now the confusing part...
Everybody is saying the same for the setup.
LNB Standard
22khz off
10750 for linear
11250 for circular

ok...

but...

The fact sheet says output frequency for FSS and BSS are both 950-1450.
Well... if i subtract 11250 (BSS setting) from the range of 12200 and 12700 i end up with 950 and 1450: perfect match to the fact sheet!
Now i do the same for FSS: 11700 and 12200 minus 10750 equals 950 and 1450: again, perfect match...
Now i take the 2nd FSS-Band 12200 and 12700 minus 10750 equals 1450 and 1950... no problem for the receiver, but way over the frequency range from the fact sheet...
Just while writing and reading that (without testing right now) make me believe that the "standard" settings for FSS are wrong... Shouldn't it be "Universal" or something similar?
Or is the fact sheet wrong?

you're thinking too hard :D

The Invacom QPH is a Standard LNB
LNB LO for Linear...10750
LNB LO for Circualr...11250

this gives you frequencies of 11700-12200 and 12200-12750 :)

most folks use a Diseqc switch or a 22k switch to combine the linear and circular sides together

Linear is 11.7 to 12.7
Circular is 12.2 to 12.7

so what about the 12.2 - 12.7 for linear?

I THINK I'm still confused...:p

...or do i just duplicate the satellite in my FTA with an LOF of 11250 for 12.2-12.7 for linear?

I'm not sure if I'm following the purpose of your questions, but if you're dealing with linear and circular on the same sat - you'll generally need to setup two satellites (same physical location, just two sats in your menus) with the correct settings for each lnbf. You'd need to do this if you have a BUD and have KU and C on the same sat as well. Seems silly, but most of the set top boxes weren't designed to allow you to indicate multiple lnb types on the same sat.

It was just the fact that I was reading the fact sheet for the LNB :)

But anyway... I can't find any bird on the US arc with H/V signals over 12.2

That could be a reason to set up 2 entries for the same location, according to lyngsat, besides C-Band - KU-Band.

The brochure is wrong

ON the QPH the linear stops at 12200 and DBS goes from 12200-12750....

In other parts of the world, KU goes from 10700-12750 and thats why they need Universal LNB's. They dont have a chunk set aside for DBS like we do in North America

Also the "low" band (10700-11700) only a couple sats across the Atlantic uses that area...

as for the example above, they can put as many satellites at a spot as long as the frequencies active don't clash...examples

NahuelSat and AMC6 at 72W....Nahuel is low band linear and is towards South America...AMC6 is standard and is NA
Galaxy 11 & Nimiq1 at 91W...G11 is linear, N1 is circular...this is the same with your example above

Also, both Dish & Direct have sats at 110 & 119 but the transponders are different
