Comming up in the next few months my dish network promotion prices will end. I am certainly not going to pay full price. What did you guys do when your promotion price ended?
You should have signed an 18MO. contract which means you have about 6 mo. left. Drop to a more affordable package or pay the early termination fee and return the leased equipment seem to be the only options. What did you expect when you signed up as a customer? My bill will jump from $98 to $120/mo. That is not worth the service im getting. I know when i had cable before i could call and get back on the promotion price after complaining enough. Also when i signed up for dish there was a option to pay 40 or 50$(one time fee) and not be on a contract.
With cable tho there is no contract so you can leave at any time. I suspect he can probably haggle once his commitment is over.
Personally, I hate the promotional come-ons. The promotional period ends quickly, and then you face a higher price or the hassle of trying to negotiate a better deal. I just want the company to tell me the true price up front. One of the reasons I don't want to switch to cable in my area is that Comcast only tells you the promotional price, and trying to find out what the price will be after the promotional period is like trying to uncover a trade secret.
