Premium Network Designed for Gays and Lesbians to Launch as Subscription Service on DIRECTV December 1

LOS ANGELES and /EL SEGUNDO, CA – November 22, 2004 - here! TV, the nation's first premium programming service appealing to gay and lesbian audiences, and DIRECTV, Inc., the nation’s leading and fastest growing digital television service provider, announced today they have reached an agreement to offer here! TV as a subscription service to the more than 13.5 million customers of DIRECTV. here! TV will be made available as a subscription service on DIRECTV® channel 190 beginning December 1, 2004.

DIRECTV, which currently offers a monthly selection of here! TV titles on a pay-per-view platform, will now offer the channel 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. DIRECTV customers will have the opportunity to order here! TV’s featured movies, series and original programs as a monthly subscription at a flat fee of $9.99 per month, or à la carte as an individual 3-hour block for $5.99 per block. With the world’s largest gay and lesbian TV and film library, here! TV features well-known theatrical releases, comedies, dramas and shorts.

here! TV is currently in production with a varied slate of original content, of which it will produce a total of six series and twelve films per year. Premiering on the network in December is Too Cool for Christmas, a family holiday film featuring two gay dads and starring George Hamilton (Love at First Bite, The Godfather: Part III, Your Cheatin’ Heart), Donna Mills (Knot’s Landing), Brooke Nevin ("The 4400"), Adam Harrington (Queer as Folk) and Barclay Hope. In production now are here! Family, a gay parenting series hosted by And Baby Magazine publisher Michelle Darné; gothic horror series Dante’s Cove, and Tides of War, a naval action drama starring Adrian Paul (Highlander), Mathew St. Patrick (Six Feet Under), Catherine Dent (The Shield, Taken) and Matt Battaglia (Universal Soldier I & II, Queer as Folk).
